Window well wildlife

This evening, I happened to be downstairs working out when I heard a ruckus in the unfinished part of the basement. I walked over to the window well and saw two raccoons, one with bloodied prey in its mouth, barking at each other. The smaller of the two shimmied back up, shredding the window screen in the process. The other, pictured here, stayed behind – casually shrugging off all of my attempts to evict him from this temporary home (I shined all sorts of bright lights and tried some scary, loud, grunting noises). No luck.

Rush concert ticket is ordered

I managed to secure a pretty good seat for the Rush concert at the Marcus Amphitheater in Milwaukee on Thursday, September 6, 2007.

While they are coming to the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park on Saturday, September 8, I had seen them in Milwaukee during the Vapor Trails tour and really enjoyed the venue (and, even though it’s in another state, the Marcus Amphitheater is only about 36 miles further from home than the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre).

I’m generally skeptical about ticket ‘pre-sales’ and had resigned myself to using a ticket broker closer to concert time, but I gave it a shot and was pleasantly surprised with a seat in the 22nd row in section 1 (Geddy Lee’s side of the stage).

Alain is blogging

My good friend and former colleague, Alain Breillatt, started a new blog called “Picture Imperfect.” The focus of the blog is to “explore the winding paths of how to build innovative new products and services that succeed in the marketplace by generating passion in the ultimate enduser.”

Alain is a Senior Associate at Kuczmarski & Associates, “the foremost management consulting firm specializing in innovation”.

Take a look at the site and/or subscribe to his feed (he’s still not using FeedBurner yet…. ;->) – Alain’s always had some great insights and I look forward to his future topics.
