Why I love the Midwest…
Where else can you go from temps in the upper 40’s to a 9″-10″ snowfall in the space of a couple of days? I woke up to a winter wonderland this morning. Mother Nature was nice enough to hold off dumping on us until a Friday evening – knowing that Saturday mornings are generally pretty lazy and you don’t have to ‘be someplace.’I spent a few hours this morning snow-blowing the driveway and sidewalks and just reveled in how beautiful everything looked. Lupita took the girls over to retention area (a grassy knoll nearby with some great slopes) for sledding and full was had by all.
People generally tend to dream of warmer climes at times like this – not me. I love experiencing each season.
