Anniversaries
Eleven years ago today, I married my lovely bride…..unfortunately, this very happy date is shared by the tragic event that occurred three years ago. (There is no chance that I’ll ever forget my anniversary date….)
We celebrated by dropping the kids off at babcia and dziadziu’s (their grandma’s and grandpa’s) - and then went to dinner at Mia Cucina, a wonderful little restaurant in Palatine… (got lucky and stumbled across a wonderful wine …. Maraia Barbera Monferrato, by Marchesi di Barolo).
Update: It appears that Mia Cucina is an unfortunate casualty of all the construction going on in downtown Palatine. While it looks like it’s still open (looked like it last time I rode by on the train), their Web site is down.
